Adopt-A-Family for Christmas
Your generosity for this ministry in 2019 was inspiring. This Christmas will you help again to provide the following families with gifts for Christmas? Neighborhood House suggests we buy gifts for the children and/or gift cards for the family(Walmart/Food Lion/Acme etc)
Alicia has a family of four, 3 children and 1 adult.
Roxana has a family of seven, 5 children and 2 adult
Information on the families is on the table at the back of the sanctuary. All gifts must be brought to Immanuel church by Dec 13. Please wrap the gift and put the child's name on it and place it in the appropriate bin. Thank you for caring and being a blessing to these families. Any questions, please, talk with Tish Borchardt . Thank you
For years, this charge has provided butter for the Christmas food baskets. However, this year the baskets are going to be provided differently. Each family will be given Food Lion gift cards in amounts up to $30 (none over $30) and will do their own shipping. These cards or money to get cards are due by at the church by Dec. 13th. Please give cards or money to help buy cards to Martha Masters.
Our tradition of using Christmas flowers in the sanctuary to dedicate in memory or in honor of loved ones also is changing this year, since many of us are not able to be physically in the church yet. We will still have a dedication page in the bulletin so you can remember your loved ones. But, instead of flowers, we will be collecting the money you typically would have spent on flowers and giving it to the Neighborhood House. We will be collecting through December 20th. Dedications and money to Sue Clark by Dec. 17th
For those who are unable to attend in person at this time, you can participate in any of these giving opportunities. Please contact Lay Leader Tish Borchardt at 302 250 1362. Anything can be dropped off at Sue Clark’s home or on Sunday morning at church.
